is the Chief Neurosurgeon of NEURON.
Dr Patankar did his MBBS and MS (Gen Surgery) from B J Medical College, Ahmedabad (1996 to 2005) and MCh (Neurosurgery) from West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata (2006-2009).
After completing his Neurosurgery training from Kolkata, Dr Amey Patankar developed the Department of Neurosurgery at SSG Hospital and Baroda Medical College, Vadodara, where he was the Head of the Department from 2010 till 2014. He continues to serve the poor at SSG Hospital by giving honorary services.
He is attached with Sterling Hospital Vadodara since 2015 as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery.He has vast experience of treating both brain and spine problems with over 2500 cases treated successfully in the last 7 years.

2. Brainstem glioma presenting with hemichorea: British Journal of Neurosurgery.

• Dr Patankar also presented a paper at Spine conference 2015 at Ahmedabad.

Dr Patankar Was the first to perform Neuroendoscopy of brain in Vadodara district.
• Has special interest and expertise in surgery for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm with an experience of over 150 cases operated successfully.
• Was the pioneer of Minimal Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) at SSG Hospital with an experience of over 50 cases operated successfully.
